I love your birds Päivi! Their vitality is so evident and joyful. We have kingfishers here, but they are gray with a white collar: Belted Kingfishers.

Thank you Paivi for another wonderful post. Always inspirational. I love your kingfisher painting. It really captures the essence of the bird. I live near a river and it’s a rare occasion that I catch a flash of blue from the kingfisher that lives there. Have a lovely weekend.

Interesting information about the “von Wrights” along with their paintings. And – Kingfishers – my goodness what BEAUTIFUL BIRDS!!! I had to look up all the information and images regarding these birds, and now I’m in love with them. Like you, I wish I could be walking along and see a Kingfisher somewhere in our forest!
Their colors are AMAZING!!

Your abstract paintings are so gorgeous showing the ‘flight’ ‘flying’ “experiencing their lives” and your “emotional connection to them”. Beautiful colors & brushstrokes. Thank you for sharing this lovely story.
