I have created a whole journal based on the Beatles song “Fool on the Hill”. I loved this song. It was about Maharishi the Beatles guru. The journal though is about me. I am the fool on the hill. Each page has a quote or poem by me.

When my daughter was doing her masters in neuroscience, she explained the differences of the various mind waves. Beta being the mind wave when you’ re awake , Delta is when you are asleep. Theta is when you are in a state of short periods of sleep and awake etc. The alpha mind wave is a relaxed but creative state. I found ways to reach that alpha state by meditation, even chanting if need be , listening to alpha state music, just splashing paint down on paper or doodling . I have noticed that I will become inspired by a color most of the time. I also.found that once I learned how to look at an object properly I understood it and can draw it. I have been taking less and less art classes, which allowed me to follow my own instinct instead of feeling frustrated that I had become good at reproducing a teacher, s art. I believe art is very subjective. What apples to one person may not be attractive to another. For me the bauhaus movement is not appealing and wonder what on earth, but there are those who appreciate it . Color plays a huge role for me, I lean towards warm colors, pinks, reds, oranges and purples but their complementaries make them pop. It’s fun to see that an understand why.
