Thanks so much, Susan! It's lovely to hear that you enjoy the blog and the videos. There are all kinds of folders for storing single sheets and I have bought many for mine. Maybe that could be a solution for you?

Thank you for a lovely comment, Julia! It's nice to hear about your journals and what you are working on at the moment. I also love that "forest in my pocket" and I think it could make a great illustration. I hope you will create that with your unique style!

I love to see your journals. I love your style, I would love to do exactly the way you do but that would be impossible you are unique. At first I thought you were going to stop using sketchbooks altogether. I am glad that's not the case. I think you should fill them and if your style has changed since the start of them that shows how you have changed and grown. Myself well that is another thing. I have started many never entirely filled them zi never liked painting or drawing on the reverse page in case I wanted to remove it later. O've never been good at sketchbooks. I just paint on single sheets of paper and store them in boxes. One day I should go through them all and stick them in proper sketchbooks. I do look through them every now and then to get inspiration, but it's more difficult to look through boxes of papers. Unfortunately, I'm not organised enough to start the long process of sorting them.
Thank you for your YouTube posts, I so enjoy them.

When I started painting after years of being a ceramic artist, I was traveling a lot so I bought watercolor postcards and mailed the finished paintings to friends. I couldn’t store them. I have since downsized even more and I don’t want a bunch of books I don’t have room for anymore. Also, each time I paint, it is an experiment but I would hate if I made a really good experiment and it was stuck in a book. I do have a notebook for ideas and fun quotes but these are my reasons for not having a lot of unfinished journals.

Wonderful collection of journals and links for inspiration! I have several journals half full. I'm really inspired by Rafael Wardi and oil pastels at the moment, so now I'm gonna make several tries to my black journal with rough pages. I've been drawn to a Dylusions journal as I've seen you use and like it, but before buying new notebooks I'm going to fill at least the one I'm working on right now. It's got some really stupid and unimaginative writings on it, but I'll glue something on those pages and it will be my first pretty finished art journal (I've also got my Fun Botanicum in it).

I think you should keep going with the little one! It reminds me of Jean Sibelius' matchbox with a piece of his home forest he always had in his pocket. Now I kinda wanna go by a tiny journal as well so I can always carry a piece of my heart's forest in my pocket, haha!
