Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Chavela! Art journaling and mixed media have played an important role in my artistic path, so don’t underestimate them! One thing that was missing in my play when I was mainly art journaling, was the vision and sensibility for nuances. I was often trying to control the big picture, and didn’t realize the small changes that would have made a big difference. But the joy for creating was there, and it seems that you have that too. That’s the most important thing!

Mixed media all the way, with lots of “use up the scraps” thrown in. However, I still recognise that I am missing a huge piece of the puzzle-the artistic sensibility that would see me creating a piece, or a book, based around an artistic concept. These posts, from you Paivi, certainly go some way to helping me develop a process that might see me thinking like an artist. Thank you for sharing some of the thinking behind these beautiful works.
