Wild Garden
Wild Garden – Water Your Soul And Let the Garden Bloom Wildly
Wild Garden is an online art course about painting flowers and floral sceneries in watercolor. We will paint freely, intuitively, and expressively from Sept 22 to Nov 14, 2025. Note: You can still hop in and get the published lessons right away!
Wild Garden is led by Päivi Eerola, a Finnish professional artist dedicated to expressive flower paintings. For her, flowers are not only decorations, but also offer a way to empower a gentle soul. Päivi says:

“Yes, you can paint beautiful flowers with restraint and precision on a white background. But to me, that’s like picking flowers and not letting them grow where they were born.
Life is messy. There are always weeds in the garden, and shadows fall across the flowers. The mind is not serene either, but often contains useless and dark thoughts.
Art is not just about clarity and elegance.
Art is like a garden. After spending a moment there, we come away happier. We have become grounded, accepted the dark parts, and seen something surprisingly beautiful every time. By creating freely, we achieve a sense of control that is not so much based on discipline, but on discovery and self-development.
In Wild Garden, you will learn the watercolor techniques that I use to paint flowers intuitively. The idea is that flowers are allowed to grow where they are originally born.”
Wild Garden – Four Inspiring Lessons
Only the love for flowers and watercolors is needed. We will start with small projects – floral greeting cards – and gradually move forward to bigger paintings. If you are a beginner, you can mostly make cards, and if you are more advanced, you will get more out of painting bigger pieces. Each lesson contains both videos and written material, and is published bi-weekly.
