  1. Love your box of painted papers! What a treasure trove that is. I am so enjoying and am inspired by your videos. Thank you so much for making them. I know it takes TIME to put them together. So appreciative!

  2. I could watch you create all day Pavi! This piece is just gorgeous. Thank you for sharing and bringing inspiration into my day. I’ve never used the bottles of ink. I guess I thought they were for pens only! Lol. Painting with them looks yummy. I think I will pick up a few bottles ASAP!

  3. Paivi, your blog is wonderful! You have inspired me to pick up my pens and brushes again after a very long time. I can’t wait to get started. Thank you for sharing your beautiful ideas : )

  4. Hi Paivi, I have very much enjoyed watching your video creating this work! Thanks! It also made me realize how much I wanted to get more and do more with my art…..I have the feeling that I am stuck into a long period of the ‘ same’ ……..and remembered me also of a quote I red on Glenda’s blog. It’s from Ira Glass, do you know it? Hope it’s Ok sharing it here with you……..

“Nobody tells this to people who are beginners, I wish someone told me. All of us who do creative work, we get into it because we have good taste. But there is this gap. For the first couple years you make stuff, it’s just not that good. It’s trying to be good, it has potential, but it’s not. But your taste, the thing that got you into the game, is still killer. And your taste is why your work disappoints you. A lot of people never get past this phase, they quit. Most people I know who do interesting, creative work went through years of this. We know our work doesn’t have this special thing that we want it to have. We all go through this. And if you are just starting out or you are still in this phase, you gotta know its normal and the most important thing you can do is do a lot of work. Put yourself on a deadline so that every week you will finish one story. It is only by going through a volume of work that you will close that gap, and your work will be as good as your ambitions. And I took longer to figure out how to do this than anyone I’ve ever met. It’s gonna take awhile. It’s normal to take awhile. You’ve just gotta fight your way through.”

    1. Miranda, thanks so much! The quote is so good and it”s actually something that I am going to mend with the ebook that I am writing at the moment: how to get your skills into the level of your good taste!

  7. Paivi I asked A question on the Flickr’s group site in response to your comment on the art page I posted. I did not know the proper place to ask it. It has to do with fixing mistakes in your artwork. I hope you have time to read it and respond. Your number one fan!! Actually I think we are all number one fans!! Gina
